Wild Haired Piggies!!! Coons and Cats!!
Beautiful day today and I think spring is here finally. But last night we had strange visitors INSIDE the house. I feed a feral cat that's been hanging around for the past 4 years. Because of the dry cat food I put out it attracts the Racoons too ( I live in the boonies). Well I opened the door and a raccoon chased the feral cat into the house, then followed it. I have 5 indoor cats and there was WAR!! The feral cat ran sideways around the walls the racoon made it's way back out after hissing at my huge white cat Kashmier all my cats got in a fight with eachother before chasing the feral cat it looked the NASCAR of CATS for a while and on top of this was my dad hollering in GREEK at the top of his lungs and my mom and sister hollering at all the cats OHMAHGAWD!! Wild Haired Piggies on the loose lol. So the feral cat finally ran out the open patio door followed by a trail of my indoor cats who all came to a screeching halt at the edge of the deck then turned tail and thankfully ran back in still confused. I mean what writer could think up a scene like that? Oh and I guess the feral cat was so scared he left a trail of droppings on his way out as in ewww. So we had to disinfect stuff and finally were able to settle down. I never in my life had such a close encounter with wild animals like that. Right now there's a racoon outside of my patio door just looking in waiting for cat food. Well it can wait. I'm not going there with that again...

The Day After the day...
Good Grief! Today is one of those days where I simultaneously slept too much and not enough. But here I am and getting ready to continue working on my new trilogy (It's about the Civil War). Boring you say or not but it's history with a twist. *grins* Oh yeah. I was up late working on music too.
So I checked on For The Love Of Cyprus and found I had one sale on Kindle. Well one sale is better than no sale right? Also I was catching up on the music scoop news. Something funny to me - If Lady Gaga was really in that egg for three days before the Grammies, how did she relieve herself? Like how did she poopeedle? lol Also how did she get her makeup, hair and clothing on? I smell BS ha ha. And people are falling for that?? Anywho the Grammies was awesome and it was right after that when I went into hibernation myself to self-publish For The Love Of Cyprus.
I feel relief now for a while and of course am out there on the internet and elsewhere performing selfless promotion for my book which of course I like and friends like but hoping YOU will like it too. The first of many to come. I WILL NOT GIVE UP!
So I need a sweet tea refill and a butter biscuit and make like one of the 7 dwarves - High ho High ho it's off to work I go.
Love, Peace and Hair Grease - till next time. xo

Ramblings Of A Weary Writer...
So this is my first post in my brand new blog. I've spent the past two weeks formating, sizing, creating cover work, procrastinating, backing up, redoing, swearing a little, and finally producing what is required from CreateSpace and Kindle to produce one paperback book and one Kindle e-book. Whew.
With the exception of an occasional paw key change to my manuscript I made it through. Oh what is a paw key? It's when one of my 5 cats pounces onto the top of my laptop thus creating a change in words or whole sentences such as "woeirhoanefaldf h238r5" with it's paw while gazing innocently up at me with big golden or green eyes pleading for attention. Thus paw key.
Anyway, I submitted everything and I'm waiting to hear the final word from Kindle and will receive my proof copy of "For The Love Of Cyprus" hopefully this Thursday. It's been a long journey writing this book. With the help of my mother's memoirs, moving around, college, finally the tramatic passing of my wonderful 17 year old cat Widow I finally finished it. Well never mind that I've written 253 songs, started two other manuscripts and performed my music here and there all in between writing this book. But I feel its story needs to be told. I guess everyone feels that way about their first novel. Yes, I went through the submission game too and got tired of it. I just want the book and the other books I'm working on to get out there. I think the stories are good and I hope you will too. Yes I'm beating my own drum but hey I can dream right?
Success? Well we all wish to be successful and it's a little more than wealth and the possession of materialistic objects for me. I follow or at least make an attempt to follow Deepak Chopra's Seven Spiritual Laws to success which are as follow :
1) The Law of Pure Potentiality
2) The Law of Giving
3) The Law of Karma (or Cause and Effect)
4) The Law of Least Effort
5) The Law of Intention and Desire
6) The Law of Detachment
7) The Law of "Dharma" or Purpose in Life
If you wish to read the meaning behind these laws you can go to http://www.shareguide.com/Chopra.html and peruse them for yourself. Lot's of insite in there. *smiles*
When I was a little girl I could always be found with a book in my hand somewhere in a corner. My mother always told me all good stories come from The Story Tree. The banner here on this blog is my interpretation of those who have received great stories from that tree in the forest of Story Trees. It makes me smile.
I have definitely grown up in the past year, and that reflects both in my book and my work ethics. My book will be published and successful and my music will get recorded this spring and be available to the public also. This WILL happen. It's only a matter of time, and I've got time - plenty of it. So here we go. I am my own magic wand!! Bibbity, Bobbity, Boo!
